The first line of code
orbydev started as a side project between two engineers who were tired of watching great product ideas get buried under bad software decisions. We built our first client's MVP in eight weeks. It raised a seed round four months later.
Our first real team
We brought on our first two full-time engineers and a designer. We were still scrappy — working from a spare room and two coffee shops — but we were shipping. Twelve projects that year. Twelve on-time deliveries.
Going international
Clients in the UK, USA, and UAE started finding us through referrals. We formalised our processes, built our first internal tooling, and landed our largest engagement to date — a full-platform rebuild for a logistics SaaS company.
Specialising in craft
We made a deliberate choice to stay small and go deep. No bloated teams, no account managers between you and the engineers. We narrowed our focus to the work we do best — mobile apps, web platforms, AI integrations, and SaaS.
AI at the core
We embedded AI into our own workflow and into our clients' products. From LLM-powered features to intelligent automation, we became the team founders called when they wanted to add AI capability that actually works in production.
